Overview

The international standard ISO 50001 defines the requirements for companies to introduce, implement and improve an energy management system. With an energy management system, companies improve their energy balance, reduce CO2 emissions and lower their energy costs by using energy more efficiently.

Used by large and small organizations across the world to manage and reduce energy use and costs, ISO 50001 is an excellent framework to help implement an energy management system and become more resilient against energy costs and availability.

Whether an organization is interested in getting certified to ISO 50001 to reduce costs, or to comply with legislation or increase sustainability, COAE audits provide a systematic approach to achieving all three.

Outcome & Benefits

  • Cut energy costs: ISO 50001 energy management reduces consumption through structured monitoring of energy use, improves energy efficiencies and thus helps businesses save.
  • Brand equity: ISO 50001 certification demonstrates your commitment to environmental responsibility by ensuring compliance with local energy legislation to continuously improve your brand reputation.
  • Ongoing efficiency: By monitoring energy performance against industry benchmarks to pinpoint improvements, you can ensure that your business runs at optimal efficiency over the long-term.
